Community Activities

Community Activities are free of charge or by donation.

The schedule is set at the start of a new Activity, and a new contact list with the basic schedule is reviewed and updated each September. Daily changes or cancellations may not be reflected in the calendar. Organizers usually post one-off changes on e-Spokes.

Please contact the person leading the activity if you’d like to join in.

Included in this schedule are Health, Wellness and Educational activities, which require a registration and fee. The booking is at half the commercial rate to make these activities more affordable to the Thetis Island Community.

    Those attending the classes pay our branch and by extension the Canadian Tai Chi Academy for each session ($125 for 16 weeks) The open practise days are of course, free, no donation necessary.

    This group exercises first thing in the morning. Using DVD’s from the 2000’s they do Cardio and Free Weights.

  • The Bridge Club (BC) convenes every Wednesday from 1 pm to 4 pm throughout the year at Forbes Hall.

    The main purpose of the BC is to provide a Social Activity with an emphasis on improving participants’ bridge level.

    We welcome new participants always.

    When requested, support from other players is available as well as reading material.

    There can be as many as a dozen players however that is not generally the case.
