Forbes Hall Expansion Project’s Fundraising and Debt Reduction

In January 2025, the debt incurred from the Expansion and Renovations of Forbes Hall Community Centre was paid off.   This was a huge achievement for a community of just over 400 residents. $2,300,000 raised primarily through donations.  The building is accommodating many different services, activities and events, as well as the Nurse Practitioner Clinic, regular use by the Elementary School, the ever popular Library, Church services, and many community member led fitness and sports. 

The Board of Directors of the Thetis Island Community Association is sincerely thankful for the support the community has for the Forbes Hall Community Centre.

A new project that is currently in progress for September 2025, funded by islanders in addition to a BC Hydro rebate, is the installation of Solar Panels which will cover most of our BC Hydro energy costs for 20+ years.
