Main Kitchen
With the recent expansion of Forbes Hall, the kitchen was enlarged and refitted to accommodate larger events, and was redesigned to be a safer workspace for volunteers and workers. It allows for weekly food service programs, special community events, and emergency food service.
While feeding our community is the usual use of the space, it has been designed for rentals, as well. Whether you are producing products for sale off-site, processing your home-grown foods for your own family, or having your private event catered, this kitchen will suit your needs.
Two shutters provide service and access to the main corridor and the boardroom. Exterior access and lock off.
Beverage Station
The Beverage Station is located adjacent to the Multi-Purpose Room, with a service window into that room. By creating a kitchen off-shoot that accommodates all beverage services, a casual coffee kitchen area was also created. It regularly provides for simple food service, as well. This little room is where small beverage service is available for board meetings, library visits, and other small-scale gatherings. It also allows for the Main Kitchen to work independently of the beverage services, while providing additional space when needed for preparing for large events.
The room has almost everything that is needed for food service, except a range. There are induction burners, a sanitizer, a large coffee appliance, a fridge, a toaster, a toaster oven, kettles, and a 12-c coffee maker. There is a stacked washer-dryer unit for kitchen laundry, as well.
A shutter provides counter service to the Multi-purpose room.
The use of the Beverage Station is included with all rentals.
Propane Grill
A large propane grill is available for your event. Use will be included in your rental agreement.
